A MESSAGE FROM ANTHONY
Building a City That Works for Everyone
St. Catharines deserves leadership that focuses on the fundamentals while planning responsibly for the future.
Recent flooding has reminded us of the importance of our aging infrastructure. Roads, stormwater systems, sewers, and other critical infrastructure cannot simply be addressed when something fails. We need responsible long-term planning, clear priorities, and stronger efforts to secure available funding from other levels of government — so that necessary improvements do not fall entirely on local taxpayers.
We also need to restore accountability and accessible representation at City Hall. Residents deserve to know how decisions are made, how their tax dollars are being used, and that their concerns will be heard. As mayor, I will work to make City Hall more open, responsive, and connected to the people it serves.
And we must strengthen our local economy. St. Catharines should be a city where businesses want to invest, entrepreneurs can grow, and residents can find good jobs close to home. That means reducing unnecessary barriers, supporting our existing businesses, attracting responsible new investment, and working collaboratively with economic development partners across Niagara.
My commitment is straightforward: protect the infrastructure we depend on, restore trust and accountability, and build an economy that creates greater opportunity for everyone. — Anthony A. Adeoye
