About Anthony

Anthony Adeoye is a community-focused leader, business professional, and advocate for responsible growth, public service, and civic engagement. As a candidate for Mayor of St. Catharines, he brings a unique combination of academic achievement, operational leadership, and community-centred experience developed through years of serving people, leading diverse teams, and delivering practical solutions to real-world challenges.

Anthony's educational journey reflects his lifelong commitment to public service, leadership, and community development. He holds an Honours Advanced Diploma in Community and Health Studies and Police Foundations from Centennial College, a Bachelor of Science in Educational Management from the University of Ibadan, and is currently completing a second bachelor's degree in Sociology at Brock University. He has also earned several diplomas in Business Management and holds a certification in public speaking.

His education and professional training are complemented by certifications in Advanced Administration and Management, Emergency First Aid, CPR/AED, and WHMIS. Together, they have provided him with a strong foundation in community development, public safety, organizational leadership, social policy, strategic planning, and evidence-based decision-making. They have also strengthened his ability to lead with integrity, accountability, and a people-first approach while delivering meaningful results across business, healthcare, and community environments.

Anthony's professional career began in the hospitality industry, where he developed a reputation for exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and team leadership. He later expanded his experience into large-scale public service and logistics organizations, including the Toronto Transit Commission, United Parcel Service, and Canada Post Corporation. These roles provided him with valuable insight into transportation, service delivery, operational efficiency, and the critical infrastructure that keeps communities connected.

As his career progressed, Anthony assumed leadership roles in operations, marketing, sales, human resources, and organizational management. At Canada Post, he managed multi-site delivery operations, coordinated resources, monitored performance metrics, and maintained high standards of customer service across multiple communities.

Most recently, as Director of Operations at VEC Ventures Inc., Anthony has overseen organizational operations, human resources, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Working alongside employees, clients, community partners, and leadership teams, he has successfully implemented strategic initiatives, strengthened organizational performance, and fostered collaborative relationships that support long-term growth and service excellence.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Anthony is deeply committed to community development and civic engagement. He believes strong communities are built through collaboration, transparency, accountability, and inclusive leadership that listens to residents, values diverse perspectives, and delivers meaningful results.

Anthony is running for Mayor because he believes St. Catharines has tremendous potential. His vision is to build a city where families feel safe, businesses have the opportunity to grow, neighbourhoods thrive, and residents have confidence in an open, transparent, and accountable City Hall. His priorities include strengthening public safety, supporting small businesses, fostering local economic growth, improving municipal services, investing in community well-being, and ensuring every resident has a meaningful voice in shaping the city's future.

For Anthony, leadership is not about holding a title — it is about serving people with honesty, integrity, and purpose. He is committed to bringing practical leadership, fresh ideas, and collaborative decision-making to City Hall. Together with the residents of St. Catharines, Anthony believes the city can build a stronger economy, safer neighbourhoods, more responsive local government, and a more connected community, creating opportunities for today's residents while building a stronger future for generations to come.

MY VALUES

Why Representation Matters

St. Catharines is one of Ontario's most diverse and historically rich cities. Its strength has always come from the contributions of all its communities — long-established families, newcomers building new lives, seniors who built this city, and young people who will define its future.

As mayor, I will ensure that every St. Catharines resident — regardless of background, income, or how long they have called this city home — has a voice at City Hall. I will champion representation in city hiring, services delivery, and community investment.

Diversity is not a program or a committee. It is a commitment to making sure the city works equally well for everyone who lives in it.
